Dr. Leaf Jiang founded NODAR in 2018 based on his 20+ years of experience building optoelectronic systems at MIT and MIT Lincoln Lab.

Tendo Technologies has developed a novel class of flow sensors based on elastic filament velocimetry. Tendo’s unique combination of low price, excellent performance and small form factor enables the use of flow meters in applications which aren’t feasible today.

Tendo Technologies spun out of Professor Marcus Hultmark’s research group at Princeton University in 2017.

As a US Marine, Reamonn Soto saw firsthand how measurement limitations affect aircraft engine performance and maintenance. He founded Sensatek to commercialize inventions from UCF that can measure temperature, pressure and strain in harsh environments.

Today, Sensatek develops and manufactures wireless, high-temperature, gas turbine sensors for customers in several industries including Energy, Aviation, and Aerospace.

Hazel Technologies extends the shelf life of fruits and vegetables. About 40% of produce is wasted, creating a huge economic loss and ecological waste. Hazel’s products extend the shelf life of countless produce products by weeks.

Formed in 2016, Rhapsody led the seed round in 2017. Hazel has since raised a Series A and Series B from S2G, Pangea and others, with participation of Rhapsody.

Originally developed at MIT’s Lincoln Lab and deployed in the field with the US Army, the company is bringing the technology to commercial passenger vehicles all over the world.

Professor Ryan Harne had been working at the frontier of vibration and shock damping for 15 years when he suffered a traumatic brain injury from a fall that led to permanent hearing loss and nerve damage.

“Waking up in the hospital, one of my first thoughts was that if I had landed on a floor damped with HyperDamping materials, this could have been prevented,” Dr. Harne realized. HyperDamping was formed in short order.

The company uses innovative methods in mechanical design paired with advanced materials science to create lightweight, durable damping materials and solutions with effective and long-lasting performance.

Through its 2018 acquisition of Nutrasweet assets, Manus Bio produces its products at scale in Augusta, Georgia.
